Ringtone and Text/Message Alert Installation

PHONE REQUIREMENTS

• An MP3 real tone compatible mobile phone
  All ringtones and alerts are 128KB MP3 files...most, if not all mobile phones play MP3 files as standard, but please consult your phones manual if you're in any doubt.
• A method of file transfer. This can be any of the following:
  • A WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)connection on your phone. This method will enable you to directly download the files onto your phone. Please contact your provider to set this up if you need further instructions.
  • A USB cable that connects from your PC to your phone. This method allows you to transfer downloaded files via the USB cable onto your phone. Please consult your phones manual and use supplied software.
  • A memory card reader. This method will enable you to copy and paste the downloaded files from your PC to your phones memory card.
  • A bluetooth connection. This method again will enable you to transfer downloaded files on your PC onto your phone. Please consult your phones manual for compatibility.

FILE INSTALLATION

Please note: All files are compressed in .ZIP format, you will need to "unzip" them first before transfer.

If you want to download a ringtone or text alert via your phones e mail account, please contact your provider to set this up if you don't already, then all you have to do is download the files directly from the internet to your phone and save the files into your ringtones directory. Otherwise, if you download to your PC then all you have to do to transfer the file to your mobile is:

1. If you have a memory card reader, insert your phones SD/MMC card, locate the file you downloaded to your PC and then simply "copy and paste" it onto the memory card itself...(remember to paste the file into a directory where you can find it) (this can be the path:- PHONE NAME/SOUNDS/DIGITAL or RINGTONES for example).
2. Transfer the file using a bluetooth connection. Simply locate the files you downloaded to your PC and then transfer them using this method...you will need the relevant equipment to do this. Also please consult your phones manual for bluetooth compatibility.
3. Transfer the file using your phones supplied USB cable and software...(this could be Nokia PC Suite for example), please refer to your phones manual for directions on doing this (on some phones, after the USB cable is connected and the phone has been recognised by the PC, you can simply browse to your ringtones directory on the phone and copy paste the downloaded files from your PC directly onto the phone).
